customer exit
Option provided by SAP for the extension of delivered standard programs without modification of the original program at the customer. For potential customer requirements that are not part of the standard, SAP installs blank containers, which the customer can fill with their own functions. Customer exits are administered by SAP in transaction SMOD . In transaction CMOD , the customer selects the extensions that she/he wants to process, groups them together as enhancement projects, processes the components and activates the relevant projects. Customer exit s are obsolete and are triggered by BAdI s and other enhancement options .
