Hi there, I am trying to change the documentation of an existing z abap report and keep getting the message 'maintain the document in language German'. I am unable to get past this point an actually make changes to the documentation text. Have you got any ideas how I can get round this please

That was quick, congrats on being the first poster to my new forum:-) Funily enough I had exactly the same problem not so long ago. Basically Go to transaction SE63 and select Translation->ABAP Objects->Long Texts(Documentation), then from tree structure expand 'L5 F1 Help', then double click on 'RE Reports,Function Groups, Logical databases'

Now enter your object name(i.e. your ABAP report) and press edit. A text translation proposal screen should be displayed where you can edit the documentation for this object, fullscreen editor is also available via the button. Sometimes saving and activating via this screen will then allow you to change the documentation via SE80 but if not you can continue to edit via the method.
